Sondes Place Farm is a 320 acre mixed farm located between
Dorking and Westcott. It has been farmed by the
Broom family since 1897, and is currently managed by Hugh
Broom (part of the 4th generation to farm here in Dorking).
The farm has a flock of 300 breeding ewes, a herd of Aberdeen Angus x beef cattle, a firewood enterprise, and we grow asparagus. Part of the farm is in the Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme, which has enabled us to enhance bio diversity over recent years. These include restoration and establishment of hedgerows, as well as a new wildlife ponds. The farm has many footpaths and borders both the town of Dorking, and the village of Westcott
This website is designed to give local people the latest news about the farm, a bit about what we do, and how we farm, as well as the opportunity to buy locally produced products.
